I have a large supply of blankets, crates, chairs, settees, etc that can be used during your session. I will choose items depending on the number of people participating in the session, the location, the season, etc.

When is the best time to schedule my session?

Newborn Sessions are best done within the first 14 days after baby is born, so I recommend scheduling before your baby is born to ensure availability and to allow time to customize your session. Booking early guarantees you a spot on my schedule. We will set a tentative date based on your due date and adjust as needed if baby comes early or late.

Maternity Sessions are usually done between 32-36 weeks. This ensures you have a nice baby bump to show off, but isn't too close to your due date in case baby comes a bit early. Some second/third/fourth time Mom's prefer to do their session a little earlier in their pregnancy as they feel they "get bigger sooner." That's totally OK! We will schedule for when you feel comfortable. If you are pregnant with multiples you may also prefer to schedule a bit earlier in your pregnancy.

For Birthday/Cake Smash Sessions I typically recommend scheduling your session based on when you'd like to have the photos back. If you want to use the photos on a party invitation you may want to schedule as much as 2 months ahead so that I have time to edit the photos and you have time to order and mail invitations. If you want to display the photos as the birthday party I recommend scheduling at least a month before the party. If you don't plan to use the photos for invitations or to display at the party feel free to schedule any time.

Senior Portraits are best scheduled with your School's Yearbook deadline in mind. Most Schools have December deadline, so be sure to schedule at least a month prior. If life gets in the way and you're getting close to your deadline Rush processing is available for an additional fee.

For Family Sessions schedule based on the type of scenery you want. Here in California our scenery changes dramatically throughout the Seasons, so it's important to keep that in mind when scheduling. If you want Mustard Flowers, Wildflowers, etc be mindful of the time of year they bloom (usually March - May). If you love tall grass and open fields schedule in the summer. If you want all the fall vibes schedule in September or October.
